Justin Floyd is an emerging writer and director from Southern LA, whose work is poised to capture both indie and commercial audiences. As a genre-agnostic storyteller, Floyd gravitates towards dark comedies.
Floyd is a NBCU LAUNCH 2023 participant. His flick, "MALLEABLE," is available on Hulu. He is a 2022 Hillman Grad Rising Voices S2 fellow, but before that, he was awarded the ACADEMY ACCELERATOR PROGRAM. His short Quinceañero is availabl to stream on Netflix. In 2017, Warner Bros. dubbed him an Emerging Film Director, while HBO snagged his short "RESURRECT." And back in 2016, SUNDANCE Ignite Fellowship welcomed him. In 2015 his short film "THE CENTER'' landed him on stage at the Academy Awards. Floyd is in development on his first feature film AMERICAN WEAPON and in prep for his next short film LAST EXIT being produced by Top Dawg Entertainment.
